2. How we use information

- Verify the identity and legitimacy of businesses we work with;
- Process payments, subscriptions, quotes, proofs, and invoices;
- Communicate with you about projects, orders, accounts, and support;
- Send marketing communications where permitted by law (you can opt out at any time);
- Build portfolios and case studies, only with the client's permission where identifying details are used;
- Monitor, secure, and improve the Services, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our Terms;
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
3. Use of artificial intelligence tools
We use artificial intelligence ("AI") tools, including third-party large language models and generative design, writing, coding, and analytics tools, to help research, draft, design, analyze, and deliver the Services. Information you provide — such as project briefs, brand details, website content, and campaign materials — may be processed by these tools to produce work on your behalf.
- We do not knowingly submit your shared account credentials, EIN, or payment information to AI tools.
- Where available, we use AI services under business terms that do not permit the provider to use submitted content to train its general models. We cannot guarantee the data practices of every third-party provider, and their use of data is governed by their own terms and policies.
- We do not use AI to make decisions about you that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
If you do not want your materials processed with AI tools, tell us in writing before work begins. This may affect pricing, timelines, or the availability of some Services. See our Terms & Conditions for how AI-assisted work is reviewed, approved, and warranted.

5. Data we process on behalf of clients
When clients use SSEMailer or engage us to run campaigns, they may upload or give us access to personal information about their own customers, subscribers, or prospects ("Client Data"). For Client Data, the client is the business responsible for that data and for having a lawful basis and all required consents to collect it and to contact those individuals. We process Client Data only to provide the Services to that client and as permitted by our agreements and applicable law.
If you received an email or message from one of our clients and want to stop receiving it, use the unsubscribe link in the message or contact that business directly. You may also contact us and we will forward your request.
6. Lead data and public records
We offer a business lead data service built from newly filed business records published by public agencies (such as the Florida Division of Corporations) and, for enriched products, supplemented with business contact information from third-party sources. This data is intended for business-to-business outreach only.
- Information in public filings (such as a registered agent or officer name and business address) is made publicly available by the government. We do not add sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or health information.
- Clients who purchase lead data agree in our Terms to use it lawfully, including under the CAN-SPAM Act, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Florida Telephone Solicitation Act, and Do-Not-Call rules.
- Opt out: If you appear in our lead data and want to be removed from future deliveries, email Info@ssemark.com with the subject "Lead data opt-out" and the business name and contact details to remove. We will suppress them from future deliveries. We cannot recall data already delivered to clients, but we will note your request.
7. Email, text, and phone communications
- Email: Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribe requests are honored promptly. We may still send transactional messages about your account, orders, or projects.
- Text/WhatsApp and calls: If you give us your phone number and choose text, call, or WhatsApp as a contact method, you consent to receive messages from us about your inquiry or project. We will not send marketing text messages without your prior express written consent. Reply STOP to opt out of texts at any time. Message and data rates may apply.
8. Cookies and tracking technologies
The Site uses a limited number of cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for it to work, such as keeping you signed in to SSEMailer and processing secure payments through Stripe. Our hosting provider records standard server logs. Emails sent through SSEMailer may contain a small tracking pixel and tracked links to measure opens and clicks.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies; doing so may prevent parts of the Site from working. Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals; because there is no common standard for them, the Site does not currently respond to them. If we add analytics or advertising cookies in the future, we will update this policy and provide any required choices.
9. Security and shared credentials
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including HTTPS encryption on the Site. Login credentials entered in the "Access & Assets" section of our intake form are encrypted in your browser before they are sent, so our form provider cannot read them; they can be decrypted only by SSE Mark's authorized personnel.
If we learn of a security breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law, including the Florida Information Protection Act (Fla. Stat. § 501.171).
10. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the Services, maintain business and tax records, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. As a general guide:
- Shared account credentials — deleted or rendered inaccessible within 30 days after the engagement ends, unless you ask us to keep them for ongoing work;
- Intake and project records — for the duration of the engagement and up to 7 years afterward for business, tax, and legal purposes;
- SSEMailer account data and Client Data — while the account is active and up to 90 days after closure, unless the client requests earlier deletion or law requires longer retention;
- Unsubscribe and opt-out records — retained indefinitely so we can continue honoring them.
11. Your choices and rights
You may contact us at any time to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Ask us to delete your information (subject to legal and business retention needs);
- Opt out of marketing emails, texts, or lead data deliveries.
We will verify your request before acting on it and respond within the time required by applicable law. You may use an authorized agent where the law allows. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
12. State-specific disclosures
Several U.S. states (including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, and others) give residents additional privacy rights, such as rights to know, access, correct, delete, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information or of targeted advertising. These laws apply only to businesses that meet certain thresholds. Where any such law applies to our processing of your information, we will honor the rights it provides. To make a request, email Info@ssemark.com with the subject "Privacy request" and your state of residence.
13. International visitors
The Services are operated from the United States and intended for businesses located in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.
14. Children
The Services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be posted on this page, and where appropriate we will notify clients by email. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
